On 27 February 2015 I visited Macclesfield Town for the very first time. From the Netherlands I had simply asked whether a stadium tour would be possible. We flew to Manchester early in the morning without expectations.
At Moss Rose nobody seemed to know we were coming, but we were welcomed warmly. Soon Andy appeared and showed us around the stands, the bar and the boardroom. It all felt full of history, simplicity and pure football.
What started as a normal trip became the beginning of a very special connection with the club and its people.
